 St. Mary's inter College, Etawah, is a Catholic, Christian Minority Educational Institution acknowledged by the National Minorities Commission, New Delhi - Reg. No.20725 imparting education to students irrespective of their sex, caste, creed and religion to strengthen inter- communal and inter -cultural ties among the students so that they learn to respect all religions and cultures of our country and strive to achieve 'Unity in Diversity' as part of God's plan for humanity . It is an English medium co-educational School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and is being run by St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, Etawah (Registered). Established in 1967, as a modest endeavour, St. Mary's has scaled many heights over the years. Till 1987, it was only a Primary School and from 1987 it grew by one class every year and by 1993 it became a full- fledged Higher Secondary School. Till 1975, the School was under the management of Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels and from 1975 it is under the management of St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, Etawah and, the administrative responsibilities are since then shouldered by the Priests of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, Kerala. It was late Most.Rev. Dr. Dominic Athaide, the then Archbishop of Agra who visualised a School in this district and, he got his idea materialised through Rev. Fr. Lawrence Colaco OFM Cap. From 1975, the School is under the patronage of the Archbishops of Agra (U.P) and Changanacherry, (Kerala). The School got affiliated to the C.B.S.E in 1991 and got upgraded in 1992. The first Batch of the School appeared for the AISSE in March 1992 and for the AISSCE in March 1994.
